TVALPP316X Ambient Light Sensors and Proximity Sensors iCs

The TVALPP316X integrates an ambient light and proximity sensor with a built-in IR LED and an I2C interface. This chip supports ambient light sensing for backlight/display brightness control and provides IR proximity sensing with interrupt functionality. Its spectral response is similarly optimized for 940nm infrared light and offers programmable current settings for the IR LED, along with effective noise suppression. With excellent temperature compensation and strong on-chip refresh rate configurations, it operates without the need for external components and provides software shutdown controls for energy-efficient applications. The operating voltage range is maintained between 1.7V and 1.98V.
